Heartfelt Creations ~ Heavenly Hyacinth

Hi Friends,

Welcome back to Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations. This week I am showcasing the stunning Fragrant Hyacinth flowers. These beauties were a joy to design with and allowed me to really play with a mix of colors. I just loved adding the Prills to the centers and of course the buzzing bee's to drink up that yummy nectar. Let's take a look.....

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 12 x 6” and score at 6” to form a card base. From the HCDP1-2127 Floral Butterfly Paper Pad choose a blue, purple, and green piece of patterned paper. From the HCD1-7283 Courtyard Elegance Die use the largest die and cut the blue piece 1, and glue to the card front. Cut the purple piece using the second largest die 1, and using that same die along with the decorative square die that fits just inside it cut 1 from white cardstock, making sure to tape all edges of the two dies to secure them together before running through a die cut machine. Now using the white die cut as a guide, draw pencil lines onto the green paper so that the inner green pieces can be cut with scissors and glue to the back of the white die cut with Dries Clear Glue. Next glue this white die cut onto the purple square and finally onto your blue card front. From the blue paper cut a scalloped circle from the HCD1-7154 Eyelet Circle Basics Small Die set and attach to the center of the card front using dimensional adhesive. Lastly stamp your sentiment from the HCPC-3844 For My Friend Cling Stamp Set onto a scrap of the green paper with Majestic Violet and set aside.

Stamp the small flowers 4x in Cactus Flower and 3x in Vibrant Fuchsia from HCPC-3947 Fragrant Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock. Also from the same stamp set stamp 1 small and 1 large of the full Hyacinth stamp in both Emerald Green along with 1 small in Vibrant Fuchsia and 1 large in Cactus Flower. Stamp the floral branch from HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Jet Black ink and color in with Zig markers. Stamp 3x bees from the HCPC-3965 Summer Wreath Accents Cling Stamp Set onto Copic paper and color with copic markers. Die cut all stamped items with their coordinating dies.

Using the Stack and Store Daubers color the tips of the purple flowers with Majestic Violet and Night Sky. Lightly color the entire pink flowers with Pink Peony and then just the tips with Vibrant Fuchsia. For the green stamped floral images color just the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse in the center and Emerald Green around the edges and set aside. For the purple large flower fussy cut off just the floral segment from the top and discard the leaves. Do the same with the smaller pink one. Ink around the edges of each of these with the darker color (ie Majestic violet and Vibrant Fuchsia) and glue on top of the floral section of the green stamped images with Dries Clear Glue set aside. This gives a pink/purple colored top where the flowers will be added and green leaves at the bottom.

Shape each of the hyacinth petals using the Grooved Golf Tools and the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Using Dries Clear Glue add Prills to the center of each flower and allow to dry. Arrange flowers onto the floral base created in the previous step and adhere with hot glue. Dab some Dries Clear Glue onto a sponge and apply to flowers and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear and tap off. Apply Dries Clear glue directly to the bee’s wings and dip into the same glitter. Lastly apply Dries Clear glue directly to the leaves and the floral branches and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Allow everything to dry before assembling as pictured. Dimensional adhesive was used behind the pink hyacinth as well as some of the leaves to give depth and dimension.

For the sentiment use set HCD1-7201 Ticket and Tags Die to create a small banner and trim down the sentiment stamped earlier onto the green patterned paper. Attach banner to the project using a double layer of dimensional adhesive so it will stand a little higher than your leaves. Decorate the inside of your card if desired.
