My personal project today is this little beauty. This is the "Breezing By" Stamp set by Polkadoodles. She is holding an adorable little nest of birds. This is a perfect stamp set for spring. I have created a shaped card using the Woodland Foliage Frames die set. It is currently on sale for $10 OFF in the LDRS Online Store. I have taken a few extra photos to share the process with you. It is quite simple to recreate.

 

 

This first photo shows the two pieces you will be cutting to create the hidden card base and shape.  To cut the green card base you will need to slide the top of the die over the scored edge of your card base. This way it does not show once the full die cut card front is attached. 

Here is a side view of the completed card.

This die set also comes with the layering ovals to to frame your piece as seen above with the navy & polka dot paper/ The die cut leaves are also from the Woodland Foliage Die Set.  The patterned paper is from the Homemade Happiness 6x6 paper stack.

Here is my project featuring "Puddle Jumper" This adorable set screams spring filled with Springtime rain, bright sunshine of summer, and even rainbows for some good luck. How cute is this??? I created the background using the totally awesome NEW Rainy Day Stencil. It creates two styles of clouds, rain drops, and grass. All in one!!! Our LDRS Creative Hybrid Inks also blend quite nicely giving you vibrant blends each and every time.

LDRS Creative Flower Power ~ 5x7 Framed Art

Hello My Creative Friends ~ 

Today I am sharing a special new project. This stamp set is from LDRS Creative called Flower Power by Creative Cre8tion Designs and is part of our Art Journal line. I do not art journal so I decided to do a framed piece instead.

 

Step 1: Cut a piece of alcohol friendly paper into a 5x7" piece to match the frame size. 

Step 2: These are really thick foam mount stamps which are made from a high quality couture cut rubber. So lay the stamp down with the rubber up, ink the stamp, then place the paper on top and carefully rub to transfer the ink.

Step 3: Color with Alcohol markers

Step 4: Stamp 2 accent stamps (Butterfly & Dragonfly) and color them.

Step 5: Fussy cut out your images and detail with glitter glue before adhering them to your project.

Below are a few close up shots of my coloring...

Coloring these flowers were my favorite part of this project. I have accented the flower stamen with a white gel pen.

This card was created by mistake....a happy mistake. I was playing with the stamp and embossing powders and I FORGOT my Sparkle N Sprinkle Static Free Pouch 99512   <<< Gotta Have This ;-). Since I did not use it I got pieces of the embossing powder in areas that were not forgiving. So rather than throwing it out, I chopped it up and this design was created. Like I said a "Happy Accident"

The geometric design is so striking. I added Glitter paper from my stash along with black card and this yummy card was born.

Sparkle N Sparkle Sand Dune Silhouettes ~ SAVE 10% NOW!!

Today I have a fun project to share. I am using two of Sparkle N Sprinkle's May's Stamp sets together to create these adorable little turtles....

When I began working with the two stamp sets I noticed how perfectly the silhouette mini turtle stamp from the Sand Dunes Silhouettes Stamp Set #940 coordinated with the mini detailed turtle stamp in the Nature of the Beach Stamp Set #929. The two sets also have the small star fish which also coordinate together.

LDRS Creative ~ On The Move Neighborhood

Welcome back friends,

Before I share my post today I would like to take a moment to wish all of the mothers out there a wonderful Mother's Day. Without all of you there would be none of us. A mother is the best gift a person can have and I thank God for my mother each and every day.

Today to have a fun little card featuring LDRS Creative's amazing Hybrid Inks along with our "Homemade Happiness 6x6" Papers" and this adorable stamp set called "On The Move Neighborhood"

When creating I always choose my papers before beginning to stamp and color. In this project I decided to use the Homemade Happiness 6x6" paper stack, choosing two coordinating papers. Next I stamped my stamps using LDRS Hybrid Ink in Raven. Then I completed the coloring using Copic alcohol markers. 

For the grassy hill I used LDRS Hybrid inks in Four Leaf Green and Key Lime Green. It is so nice the way our Hybrid inks blend so smoothly. Here is another look.

Sparkle N Sprinkle ~ Nature of the Beach ~ 10% SAVINGS for everyone!

Steps to creating my card:

The first thing I did was cut a piece of Sparkle N Sprinkle Sticker Paper to cover the bottom of the card. I burnished in The Beach Opaque Glitter G1111and then sprinkled on the Super Thick Gold Opaque Embossing Powder EP235 and heated from underneath to give extra texture and shimmer. here is a close up pic.

You can also see the sun in the above photo. That was created using a 1 1/2" punch with sticker paper cut in half. I burnished it with Cherry Lemonade Semi Trans Glitter G1118 and glued it in place.

The top portion of the card was colored using the Nuvo Aqua Flow True Turquoise Pen. The sentiment is heat embossed using our Gold Opaque Embossing Powder EP169.

For the large stamped images I have colored each of them in Copic markers and then have added Cherry Lemonade Semi Trans Glitter to the large shell using the Nuvo Precision Glue Pen. The Star Fish was colored and then Mediterranean Tuscany Opaque Embossing Powder EP 417 was added (using a stamp positioner for exact stamping. Then I simply added  Clear Transparent Embossing Powder EP120 to the oblong shell and the sea turtle. Here are a couple of close up shots showing how these turned out.

 

I just love the way this project turned out. So much texture and real life effects.
