Welcome Back Friends,
Today I have a floral card featuring the Rosie Sentiment Die

chance to win. See details below.
Now
onto the details of my card. I use the sketch as my main layout idea
but changed it quite a bit because I wanted to focus on this fun new die
set. First I figured out how to cut the diagonal piece by cutting along
one edge of the die then fussy cutting it out to create a stripe. Then
using the outside die and inside mat layer of the die I cut a frame. I
really like the way this turned out. Since the designer paper was purple
and white I decided to stick to those colors throughout for the most
part. Now lets take a close up look at my flowers.
For
each flower I used 2 large petals, 1 medium, and one small. Plus one
leaf. All were cut from white paper (110 weight) and hand colored using
archival inks. The petals were then hand shaped using a flower shaping
ball tool and mat from the back side to form the curve of the petals.
Lastly turn your petals over and press down with a small ball tool in
the center to create a plunging center. To finish the flowers off I used
silver stamens and a glue gun to build the flower and added glass
glitter to the petals with dries clear glue for a final touch.
Here is one last look at the final project.
