My personal project for the blog hop is this adorable little bear. His Honey Pot and baby bear reminded me of Winne The Pooh so I chose a red/yellow color scheme which reminds me of Pooh!

This adorable bear is part of the "Have a Beary Great Day" Stamp Set by Polkadoodles.

The baby bear in the honey pot was masked using the LDRS Masking Paper by Simply following these directions:

Step 1: Stamp the honey pot onto a white card stock and onto a piece of masking paper.

Step 2: Cut out the mask image along the black outline

Step 3: Peel the backing off the masking paper and use it to cover the honey pot stamped onto the card stock.

Step 4: Now stamp baby bear onto of the jar making sure to over lap the top of the jar. Now his cute face is peaking out from inside the honey pot.

I have used Alcohol markers to color the stamps in my project. For the beautiful multi layer look I have used the brand new Scalloped Rectangle Frame Set. This stamp set has 8 layering dies and is perfect for A2 size cards.

Hop along and leave a comment so you could win!

Day 1:

And make sure to be back tomorrow for more inspiration!

Some Odd Girl Design Team Call

Hi Friends,

I have a super fun project to share with you today. I have designed this card as part of my submission for "Some Odd Girl's" Design Team. The entry requires a sample of my work using a SOG stamp. I have a mini collection of them so I dug them out and I just PLAYED to my hearts content. I really like the way it turned out.

This card design is an A2 size and has a subtle sparkle. The background was created using a stencil by Crafter's Companion titled "Droplets" I have inked it up using Ranger Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Broken Feathers, and Peacock Feathers. Some inked droplets have a clear sparkle pen added for a little extra glimmer. The seaweed is a die from Stampin' Up! but the STAR of the show is this precious stamp set by Some Odd Girl titled "Under The Sea Mae" I absolutely love coloring mermaids which is why I chose this stamp for my submission.  Here is a close up of my coloring...

I have used Copic Markers in the following colors:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E2, R20
Hair: E13, E15, E17, Eyes: BB23, B24
Mermaid: Y18, V01, V05, V06, V09
Sea Horse: BG10, BG11, BG13, BG18

To finish off the project I added a background layer of mirror card by Crafter's Companion and then finished off with a few sequins from my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed this project as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Happy Stamping my crafty friends!

Crafter's Companion Build a Scene Card

Hi Friends,

I have been playing around with some new products I have gotten recently and I just wanted to share. Everyone knows how much I like Fairies. When I saw both the Build a Scene Kit as well as the Enchanted Garden Collection by Crafter's Companion I knew I needed to play with them. So I spent quite a lot of time on this and I had so much fun making it.

This diorama of sorts is multi layered and frames the fairy scene the background. The fairy on the foreground is tip toeing through the garden peeking on the fairy under the tree.

The majority of the items in this scene are from a kit called "Build a Scene" which was originally a subscription kit. I purchased it recently from the Crafter's Companion US website but currently I am not seeing any available. Their site does change regularly though so keep an eye out. The Enchanted Garden IS STILL AVAILABLE..... Enabler Alert!!!!

for the background card coverage I used Copic Markers in the following colors...

Y13, Y15, Y18
R22, R24, R27, R29
E23, E25, R27, R29
110 Special Black

Here are some side views into the inside of the card. I altered the card blank in the Crafter's Companion kit so that I could lay it flat to fit into a 5x7" envelope which also came within the kit.

The subscription kits are available on HSN and I am hoping to subscribe in July IF they come out with a new subscription. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will consider "following me" along the side bar. Have a crafty day! Melanie
