Heartfelt Creations ~ Summer Garden Zinnia

 Hi Friends,

Welcome back! Today I have a card I am very proud of. I am featuring Heartfelt Creations products and really enjoyed working with this color scheme.

For my card today I have designed a 5x7" standard fold card with a garden lattice vibe. This card really makes me happy!!! I love the trailing vine of lush lilacs just behind the fully in bloom Zinnia.

Heartfelt Creations Supply List:

Blushing Rose Collection Paper Pad
Archival Ink - Buttercup, Chrome Yellow, Tea Rose (Zinnia)
Archival Ink - Deep Purple, Majestic Violet + Zig Marker in Yellow (Lilacs)
Archival Ink - Olive, Leaf Green, Emerald Green (Leaves)
Prills from the Spring Bling pack

DESIGNERS TIP: When shaping my Zinnia I put the flowers in my mold with the stamp side up because I wanted my petals to turn up. That is a good tip when using the Heartfelt Creations molds. Usually if you want your petals to curl down (as the traditional Zinnia does) then you will place your flower stamp image down. But of you want them to curl up do stamp side up. That helps me remember it. I hope this helps you too!

I hope my card has brightened your day as much as it did for me when creating it. Enjoy your craft and you will have something to smile about each and every day.

Hugs! Melanie

Blessings ~ A Mother's Love

Hi Friends,

Today I would love to share my newest card featuring the digital stamp  "Blessings" by TLC Designs.

This card measures 5x7" and I have merged two digital images to create this sweet scene. Blessings along with the pile of leaves from the Festive Friends Digital Stamp Set also available in the TLC Designs Online Store. Once printed and colored with Copic markers, and then I die cut the image using the largest two dies from the Apple a Day die set by TLC and finished the center focal image off by shaping and gluing multiple 3D leaves around the bottom of the  image.

In this close up angle shot you can see the 3D leaves a little better along with the glitter detail added to each leaf. To finish the card both the sentiment and the focal images were mounted onto the card base layers atop of a piece of designer paper from the Emerald Fall digital paper collection.

 Hello Beautiful Friends,

I am coming to you today with a simple yet striking 5x7" Christmas card. I actually created this while waiting for my new Festive Poinsettia Collection to arrive but had not had a chance to post it. I just love the small poinsettia blossoms from this older collection, which is still available on the Heartfelt Creations Website. (Some items are currently upto 50% off in the Limited Edition section of the website HERE)

Heartfelt Creations Supply List:

Candlelit Christmas Creative Essentials - 10% off!

For this focal image I have stamped the Glow of Christmas lantern in versa mark and heat embossed in gold before coloring with Zig Clean Color Markers. I then added a holly sprig and a red Nuvo drop to add a berry to finish it off.

For my flowers I have stamped in Red Geranium Ink and colored in Red Carnation. Tips of flowers are heat embossed in gold using dries clear glue and a hydra sponge for application. Lastly Prills are added to the center also with the Dries Clear glue. For the leaves I used the Olive green for stamping and leaf green for coloring. All coloring was done with the Stack and Store Daubers.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I love sharing my creations with you and I hope they inspire you to get creative yourself. Stay crafty! Melanie

Blushing Fairy

Welcome Back Friends,

Today I have a fun whimsical card to share. I was inspired by this soft piece of butterfly paper from the Soft Blush digital paper pack by TLC Designs. I coordinated my coloring to it and the design began to blossom.

TLC Designs Product List:

I have used Prisma Pencils to color my stamp and have glittered her wings with Nuvo Glitter Drops. The flowers were made using 3 layers of card stock and vellum with an added gem for the center.

Heartfelt Creations Festive Poinsettia Collection ~ Ice Blue Vellum

 Hi Friends,

I played all last week with the brand new Heartfelt Creations Festive Poinsettia Collection. I created poinsettias with multiple techniques and in different color schemes which I will share with you in upcoming weeks. This weeks card features a delicate vellum design. See below for step by step instructions.

Heartfelt Creations Supplies Used:

Other Items:
Silver Embossing Powder
versa mark ink
Green Glitter Paper
Blue Foil Paper
Archival Ink Cobalt Blue
glue gun

Vellum Poinsettias ~ Step By Step

When making vellum flowers I recommend using the Heartfelt Creations Vellum Flowerite Paper by Paperlicious. This is a heavy weight paper which molds beautifully and creates a nice sturdy flower.

1. Stamp poinsettia flowers onto vellum using Versa Mark ink and heat emboss in silver
2. Using a blending sponge color the back of the vellum. I like to do my coloring before die cutting.
3. Die cut with the coordinating dies
4. Run flowers face down through the shaping molds.
5. With your deluxe flower shaping kit pierce a hole into the center of each flower.
6. Using numerous bright bead stamens and your glue gun to assemble your flower.

I hope this has inspired you to begin your Christmas cards. I have my Christmas card list all written out and now need to just begin getting them completed!!!

Crafty Hugs, Melanie
