Heartfelt Creations ~ Soft Hues

Hi Friends,

Today I have a soft pastel card for all of you and this time the card actually measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" (A2). This was a super fun shaker card to create using the Decorative Dragonfly Paper pad for my color inspiration and using the Floral Sentiment Cling Stamps and Coordinating dies to create the shaker with. Lets take a more in depth look.....

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white card stock measuring 11” x 4 1/4” and score at 5 1/2 to create a top folding card base. From sheet 1B cut a piece that measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2” from the HCDP1-2138 Decorative Dragonfly Paper Collection. Glue this piece onto the card base. Now cut a piece from sheet 3A and a piece from sheet 11B both to measure 3 3/4 x 5”.  Set aside.

Using HCPC-31024 Friend Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set Stamp out the large stamp onto Copic X Press It paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color in with Copic markers then die cut using both the outer and inner coordinating dies. Once die cut, place the frame on top of the previously cut piece of sheet 3A (green) paper and line up the center die and tape in place. Run this through a die cut machine to form a window. Take a piece of acetate and glue to the back of this opening. Add foam tape all around the opening and the back of this piece. Now using Deep Purple Archival Ink stamp the large sentiment again onto the piece of 11B that was previously cut. This piece will be glued down to the card front and sequins  are to be sat on top of the sentiment. Lightly dust the inside of the back side of the window before removing the backing of all the foam tape to prevent static. Then place down on top of the sequins to trap them inside the shaker window.

Next Glue the Copic colored frame to the front of the window making sure to line up all the edges. Stamp out the larger stamp from the HCPC-31017 Feathery Florals Cling Stamp Set in Library Green Archival Ink onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Color the green leaves using Stack and Store Daubers along with Viridian and Library Green inks. Shape a little from the back using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Cut off all the foliage from this floral spray to be used under our flowers on this card.

Stamp the Roses 3x in Deep Purple Archival Ink from HCPC-3906 Small Wild Rose Cling Stamp Set. 3 medium and 4 small flowers will be needed to complete the card. With a makeup sponge applicator brush, ink the centers lightly with Tea Rose Archival Ink and then cut with coordinating dies. Using the Stack and Store Daubers ink the edges of each petal with Blue Violet Archival ink and run through the coordinating 3D Mold. Using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit use a circular motion with the stylus tool and press down into the center of each petal center. Lastly poke a hole in the center of each flower using the Grooved Golf Tools. For the Large Flower alternate 3 petals and use the Medium Pastel Stamen in the center. Using hot glue, glue in place. For the smaller flowers alternate 2 petals and use the Small Pastel Stamens and also secure in place with hot glue.

Now simply arrange the florals and foliage at opposite corners to finish up the card. Finish off the inside with a beautiful piece of paper from the Decorative Dragonfly Paper Collection for a gorgeous coordinating look.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.

Always Grateful ~ Dedicated to My Heartfelt Family

Hi Friends,

Wow when I made this card I had no idea that Heartfelt Creations would be closing it's doors by the end of the year. I sure am grateful for my time on the design team. I have learned and grown so much as an artist and team member. HC is the most organized and diligent company I have ever worked for. They have amazing customer service and strive to be better versions of themselves each and every day. I am proud to be a part of the HC Family and look forward to serving out my term and supporting them to the very end of their reign. May Linda and the family enjoy their retirement and future endeavors as the strong family unit as they are and may we always stay friends and keep in touch. 💗💗💗

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white card stock measuring 10” x 7” and score in half at 5” to form a 5” x 7” card base. Cut a piece from sheet 2B from the HCDP1-2151 Floral Sentiments Paper Collection, measuring 5” x 7” and glue this to the card base. Now cut a piece of Luxe silver measuring 4 3/4” x 6 3/4” and Cut a piece from sheet 8B measuring 4 5/8 x 6 5/8. Using a decorative corner punch, punch the corners of this paper. Adhere these together with Dries Clear Adhesive and attach to the card base. Now using the HCD1-7229 Diamonds and Lace Die set cut the largest die 2x, once from white and once from Luxe Silver Card Stock. Layer and glue these together with the white on top and the silver slightly off set so that the silver is peeking out from behind the white. Attach to the card front using 3D foam tape.

Using the HCPC-31025 Grateful Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set, stamp out the large sentiment stamp using Archival Pigment Brilliance Ink in Crimson Copper and heat emboss using clear embossing powder. (For a similar look Light House Archival Ink could also be used) Using detail brushes and HCDA1-449 Stack and Store Daubers, color in the frame using Vibrant Fuchsia, Pink Peony, Vivid Chartreuse, Leaf Green, Buttercup, and Periwinkle Archival Inks. Die cut using the coordinating outer die. Stamp the word Grateful out using Vibrant Fuchsia and die cut using the coordinating die. Using that same die, cut 2x more in white card stock and glue all 3 layers together to add height to the sentiment. Glue to the front as shown to give the full sentiment a pop of color. Glue the entire floral sentiment to the Diamonds and Lace die cut using 3D Foam adhesive.  Lastly add Stickles to the butterflies for a bit of sparkle. To complete the inside of the card simply use a piece of the gorgeous paper from the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection.

Friendly Flowers w/ Heartfelt Creations

Welcome Back Friends,

Today I am featuring a card using the Floral Sentiments Collections once again. This collection is so versatile. I have heart embossed it today then colored it from the back.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white card stock to 10” x 7” and score in half at 5” to form a 5” x 7” card base. Cut a piece from sheet 10B from the HCDP1-2151 Floral Sentiments Paper Collection, measuring 5” x 7” and glue this to the card base. Now from Luxe Gold Card Stock cut a piece that measures 4 7/8”x 6 7/8” and glue to the card front. Then cut a piece from sheet 9B measuring 4 3/4” x 6 3/4” and adhere it to the card front. Next use the 2nd largest die from HCD2-7426 Oval Filigree Die Set and cut a piece from 7B. Adhere this to the center of the card. Using the same die set cut the 3rd largest die from both white card stock as well as Luxe Gold Card Stock. Layer these so that the white is on top and glue together so that the gold is just slightly offset behind the white. Now cut a smaller oval layer from the die set using a piece from sheet 6B and glue to the center of this filigree oval. Attach this decorative oval to the card base using 3D foam tape. From this same die set cut the corner dies 4x in white and 4x in gold and glue in the same fashion as described above. Glue into the corners.

Using the HCPC-31023 Special Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set and a Stamp Positioner tool, stamp the large floral sentiment onto Rajni Chawla’s Vellum using Versacolor white ink and white embossing powder. Turn the image over and using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers color in the back of the images. Die cut with the coordinating dies making sure to use the inside die. Keeping the placement of the dies taped together, die cut another piece from white card stock. Glue this using Dries Clear adhesive to the back of the vellum. Snip the floral frame apart and arrange around the oval frame. Adhere using foam dots. Add a butterfly from fussy cut from the frame as well as some gems for the flower centers.

Now stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-31024 Friend Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set and stamp using Vermillion Archival Ink onto white card stock. Die cut out using the coordinating die. Glue into the center of the card to complete the front. For the inside simply finish it by adding a piece of paper from the beautiful Floral Sentiments Paper Collection.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.

Floral Sentiments Collection ~ Amazing Pink Florals

 Hi Friends,

Today we are kicking off a brand new collection over at Heartfelt Creations called The Floral Sentiment Frames Collection. I am sharing a slimline card with all of you where I have made some wrinkled florals with the Wild Roses. I have cut the frame apart to frame the slimline. These frames are perfect for that as well as being cut apart to embellish cards.

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white card stock to 6” x 8 1/4” and score at 3” to form a slim line card base. Now cut a piece of HCPP1-475 Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using the HCD3-7448 Slim Ornate Rectangle’s Largest Die. Using the same die cut a piece from sheet 8B from the HCDP1-2151 Floral Sentiments Paper Collection. Attach the pink to the white and then both to the card base centering it in the middle of the shaped card front. (TOP TIP: The attaching of the card base can be saved until the end so that there is a flat surface to build upon.) Now using the second largest die from the Slim Ornate Rectangle set, cut 2x, once from white card stock and once from Luxe Silver Card stock. Using Dries Clear adhesive, glue the white frame on top of the silver layer slightly offsetting them so that the silver peeks out from behind the white. Adhere this to the pink base just attached to the card front in the previous step. Using the same die in the last step cut once more using a piece from sheet 6A which will create the inside piece needed for the green background piece. Glue this just inside the frame.

Now using a stamp positioner, stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-31023 Special Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock using Fuchsia and Peony Pink Archival inks to create an ombre blend. Die cut with coordinating die. Using that same die, Cut 2x more with white card stock and 1x with Luxe Silver card stock. Glue the two white die cuts directly underneath the stamped image to give the sentiment extra height. Then leaving a drop shadow, glue the silver offset quite a bit. Using the 3rd largest die from the Slim Ornate Rectangle die set, trim to fit the sentiment and over lap one segment of the lattice and glue together. (16 open lattice squares across). Now cut a piece of white card stock measuring 4 1/4” x 1” and glue to the back portion of the frame. Cut down the inside die piece to fit the recess area and glue in place. This should give a strong foundation for the sentiment to be glued onto. Adhere together then attach to the card using 3D foam tape.

Stamp the large Special Floral Sentiment stamp 2x in Lighthouse Archival Ink. Stamp the small and medium HCPC-3986 Wild Poppy Cling Stamp Set flowers 6x with Lighthouse Ink, and lastly stamp the HCPC-3912 Cascading Wisteria Cling Stamp Set 2x in Leaf Green Archival ink, all onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Using ink brushes and HCDA1-449 Stack and Store Daubers, color in all of the flowers with Fuchsia and Peony Pink inks. Once colored brush on some Crystal Lacquer with a paint brush and allow it to dry. Also color the leaves with Leaf Green and Vivid Chartreuse. Now Die cut all items with the coordinating die sets making sure to use the inside die when cutting the Floral Sentiments out. All items are hand shaped using HCST1-401Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. When building the flowers layer 3 petals together for the medium flowers and use the Pastel Pearl Stamen -Med for the centers. For the small flowers use 2 petals each and use the Pastel Pearl Stamen - Small for the centers.

To assemble the card take the floral frames and snip off the top section that has the butterfly on it. Save at least one of the butterflies for the project. Adhere the frames around the outer border of the card. Add the cluster of flowers and leaves to one corner and attach the butterfly. Finish off the inside with a piece of the coordinating paper to match.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.

Iris Splendor w/ Heartfelt Creations

Hi Friends,

Today I have a brand new card featuring the gorgeous Iris Garden Collection by Heartfelt Creations once again. This collection sure does make for some gorgeous cards. I just love this doe set that allows for a flat mailable card which is just as beautiful as the 3D fancy ones. Lets take a look....

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white card stock to 11 x 7 1/2” and score in half at 5 1/2” to form a 5 1/2 x 7 1/2” card base. Cut a piece from sheet 9B from the HCDP1-2150 Iris Garden Paper Collection measuring 5 1/2 x 7 1/2” and glue this to the card base. Now from sheet 2B cut a piece measuring 5 1/4 x 7 1/4” and adhere to the card front. Next use the largest die from the HCD2-7384 Fancy Classic Rectangle Die Set to cut a piece from sheet 6B and ink the edges of this paper with Deep Purple Archival Ink using HCDA1-449 Stack and Store Daubers. Attach this piece to the card base with 3D foam tape. Now using the second largest die from the same set cut 3 pieces, 1x each from Luxe Silver Card Stock, white card stock, and a piece from sheet 5B from the Iris Garden Collection. Using Dries Clear adhesive, glue the white frame on top of the silver layer slightly offsetting them so that the silver peeks out from behind the white. Adhere this to the blue base just attached to the card base in the previous step. Then using just the center piece from the piece cut from sheet 5B, glue that inner piece in the center of the frame using 3D foam dots.

Using HCPC-31021 Iris Garden Blooms Cling Stamp Set, stamp out the large image 2 times with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Copic X Press It paper. On the first image color the entire image with Copic Markers in colors to match the papers. On the second image just color the images that coordinate with the inner dies that cut out the individual flowers. Die cut all colored images with the coordinating dies, and pop up the individual images on top with 3D foam dots. Arrange this to the top of the card. Top Tip: For a deepened look, trim a little of the white edges away from the top images and darken the edges of the Irises for a more dramatic look.

Stamp a sentiment from the HCDC-3848 Cheerful Note Sentiments onto a piece of white card stock using Versamark Ink. Heat emboss using a Blue Embossing Powder. Now cut the sentiment out using the HCD1-7204 Arrows & Banners Die Set. Also cut a banner from Luxe Silver Card slightly larger than the sentiment banner to put behind for a layered look. Now attach to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card simply cut a piece from sheet 6B measuring 5 7/16 x 7 1/2 and glue to the inside of the card. Cut the 3rd largest die from the Fancy Classic Rectangles die set twice, 1x in Luxe silver and 1x in white card stock. Using the silver frame piece and the white inside piece glue to the center of the card to create a silver framed white area for the message to be written.

Other Products: Copic X Press It Paper, Copic Markers, Versamark ink, Blue Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, 3D foam Tape, 3D Foam Dots, Scissors, Paper Trimmer, Die Cut Machine
