Club La -La Land Crafts ~ Design Team Call.

Hi Friends,

I have something a little different to share with you. I have been a member of LaLa Lands Monthly Club since 2016 close to when it first began. Each month I receive a yummy package with not yet released stamps AND dies. Have you by chance ever seen LaLa Land's dies? If not you best go check them out. They are AMAZING!!!

With Feburary's Club Kit  we recieved the items above. I just recently submit my entry into their Design Team Call for the Monthly Club Team. This inspired me to pull out a recent kit and play. Oh my goodness this was fun to color.  Here is my project.

All dies except for the border die are from Feburary's Club Kit. The Triangle Lace Border was from the September 2016 Kit... See I've been a member forever - hahaha

Here is a close up of the amazing dies from La La Land. They are so intricuit and always die cut perfectly. For example those tiny die cut pieces in the Triangle Lace Border all poked out with one pass of the Big Shot.

Here is a close up of my coloring. I used Copic Alcohol Markers in the following colors.

Skin E000, E00, E11, E21
Hair: W3, W5, W7
Bubbles: B000, B00
Acents: V00, V04, V06, V09
Wood: E13, E18, YR14, E15, E29

One last look....

I hope I have inspired YOU to dig out those Club Kits and play with them. I waited far too long.... This was such a fun project. Happy Coloring my friends! Melanie

What's Your Style?

Hi Friends,

Welcome back to Fairy Stamp Land. Today I have a really fun card to share with you. I was playing around with some of the brand new products from LDRS Creative. The Polkadoodle Versatile Doors & Window set  is super fun and the set has so many possibilities.

I begun by simply cutting the door die from some of this beautiful Country Lilacs also by Polkadoodles. I also used the dies to cut out the windows in the door. The little pieces that were cut from the door were adorable and I immediately thought they were shaped like bricks. So then I just cut a ton of them out and the rest is history. The house now has a brick wall behind it.

I've also used the fence die from the Lamp Post & Railing die set and of course the All Dressed Up stamp is from the "What's Your Style" stamp set.

Here is a close up of my coloring. I used Alcohol markers to color her and I fussy cut her out and used foam tape both with the door to create a shaker card but also with the colored image. The multiple layers really adds interest and dimension.

One last look.... I really love how this turned out and I hope I have helped inspire you to get those stamps and dies out and have a ton of fun with them!!! Melanie

LDRS Creative's Magical Slider Card Die Set

Hi Friends,

Today over on the Little Darlings Inspiration blog I have shared this brand new card design. I recently watched the LDRS YouTube Channel about using the "Magical Slider" card. Have you seen this die set? This set has so many possibilities and can accessorize all your other stamps and dies that you already have. Lets take a look at this Magical set.

When you watch the YouTube video below you will see what the slider card normally does. I did not have transparency film on hand so rather than it be a slider card where your top image is uncolored and your slider reveals the colored image I decided to use it to reveal the sentiment. I just love how it turned out. It fits an A2 size card too which is nice!

Along with the Magical Slider Card die set I also incorporated the Eleganza Stamp & Die set along with the Cotton Candy Paper Stack.

Here is a close up of my coloring. I used alcohol markers as my medium.

Our goal at LDRS Creative is to help encourage your creative side. As always if you have any questions we are here for you. What will you be making today???

Magnolia-Licious Bunny Slippers

Hi Friends,

Today I have such an adorable card for you. Lately I've been noticing that I do not make many get well or sympathy cards so I decided to have this card be a "get well" type of card. I just love the Magnolia Bunny Slippers stamp from the Get Well Collection. I have colored her with Copics in muted tones to match this beautiful paper.

The paper I have used is Lemon Craft 6x6" Heart Painted Paper. Have you seen all the papers we carry over at Magnolia-Licious? They are all yummy.

For the dies I used dies that are from two different Magnolia Doohickey kits. The bunnies are from Magnolia Doohickey 8 and the balloons from Doohickey 5. These are exclusive kits which are only available for a limited time. So make sure to keep an eye out for the new limited time releases when they become available.  Currently Vol 19 & 20 are available for preorder HERE

I hope I have brought a little sunshine your world. Make something pretty today! Hugs, Melanie
