Heartfelt Creations ~ Serene Sympathies

Hi Friends,

I know none of us like creating cards for lost loved ones or for our friends who have lost a friend or family member but there is something so comforting about receiving cards at that time in your life when you have indeed lost someone special. For my card today I have used one of Heartfelt Creations slimline dies in an unconventional way to create this card to resemble a garden gate. This serene look just looked so peaceful that I decided to make it into a sympathy card.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.

Heartfelt Creations ~ Perched Peacock

Hi Friends,

Today I have another really fun design I created using the Ornate Peacock Collection by Heartfelt Creations. I am having so much fun with these colors and design elements. The ideas are just flowing in and out of me. Lets take a look at what I have come up with today....

Directions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 9” x 7” and score in half at 4 1/2”. With HCD1-7298 Decorative Cage Die cut through both layers of the folded card base making sure to let the left side of the die to fall over the edge of the card to preserve the fold. This will create the shaped card base. Next using the same die, cut a piece from sheet 6B for the front of the card and 6A for the inside, from the HCPD1-2148 Ornate Peacock Paper Collection. Adhere these two pieces in place. (Inside piece will need to be trimmed slightly to fit) Now using the second largest die from the Decorative Cage Die, cut one in white cardstock and one in Luxe Silver Cardstock. Layer these with the white on top and slightly off set them so that the silver peeks out from behind. Glue these to the card front.

Stamp the HCPC-31014 Ornate Peacock Cling Stamp onto white cardstock with Versa Mark Ink. Sprinkle with Purple Shadow embossing powder and heat emboss with a heat tool. Color using HCDA2-450 Stack and Store Daubers with Sunflower, Magenta Hue, Paradise Teal, and Bluebird. Stamp HCPC-3912 Cascading Wisteria Cling Stamp Set 2x with English Ivy Archival Ink. Color lightly in Leaf Green and English Ivy. Die cut with coordinating dies and ink the edges with English Ivy. Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Now stamp the flowers from HCPC-3976 Curvy Floral Frame Cling Stamp Set in Manganese Blue Archival Ink and color using Manganese Blue and Magenta Hue. Die cut with coordinating dies and ink the edges with Manganese Blue ink. Shape with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit then finish off by adding Bright Pearl Stamens Small and Crystal Clear Glitter. Last but not least stamp a sentiment from the HCPC-3847 Celebrate Love Sentiments Clings Stamp Set with Majestic Violet Ink onto a piece of coordinating scrap paper. Die cut using the HCD1-7202 Album Tags & Accents Dies. Ink the edges using Bluebird Archival Ink.

To finish the card simply arrange the peacock along with the vines and sentiment and attach using glue and 3D adhesive. Add flowers using a glue gun. Then for a finishing accent add little silver gems for added details to the birdcage itself.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.

Heartfelt Creations - Golden Peacock

Welcome Back Friends to this months BRAND NEW RELEASE from Heartfelt Creations. This month we are debueting the gorgeous Ornate Peacock Collection. You will fall in love with the rich color tones and the absolutely stunning Ornate Window Cling Stamp and Die which graces this collection. My imagine went wild when I saw this collection, and that window.....Oh My!!! I just had to make something Regal and Magical so I decided on a window shaker card with a perched peacock sitting with a little Royal flair. Lets take a look...

Directions:

Cut a piece of white card stock to 7 1/2” x 10 1/2” and score in half at 5 1/4”. With HCD2-7326 Ornate Flourish Gateway Die use the largest die and cut through both layers of the folded card base making sure to let the left edge of the die fall over the edge of the card to preserve the fold. This will create the shaped card base. Next using the same die, cut one from white and one from Luxe Gold Card stock. Attach the white to the front of the card base followed by the gold. Next, using the 2 largest dies together, cut sheet 5A from the HCDP1-2148 Peacock Paper Collection. Ink the edges using the HCDA2-450 Stack and Store Daubers with Blue Bird and Library Green Archival Inks. Attach on top of the Luxe Gold Card stock. Next using the 3rd largest die from the HCD2-7325 Scalloped Flourish Gateway Die cut sheet 8B and ink edges with Library Green. Glue to the center of the card front.

Stamp the window from the HCPC-31016 Ornate Window Cling Stamp Set onto watercolor paper with Potting Soil Archival Ink. Using Tim Holtz Watercolor Pencils in Fire Brick, Rusty Hinge, and Walnut Stain color the window. Die cut with coordinating die, then ink the edges with Potting Soil for a finished look. Stamp the top portion of the window onto Luxe Gold Card stock with Encore Gold Ink and heat emboss with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. Die cut with coordinating die. Using the same Gold embossing combination and stamp and heat emboss the Peacock from the HCPC-31015 Peacock & Posies Cling Stamp Set and the flourish from the HCPC-31014 Ornate Peacock Cling Stamp Set onto white card stock. Color with daubers with Sunflower, Magenta Hue, Paradise Teal, Blue Bird, and Viridian, Archival inks. Lastly stamp the flowers from HCPC-3976 Curvy Floral Frame Cling Stamp Set in Magenta Hue onto white card stock. Color with Magenta Hue, Pink Peony, and Vibrant Fuchsia. Die cut with coordinating die and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Finish the flowers adding Bright Pearl Stamens, Small and Crystal Clear Glitter.

To create the shaker first die cut 4 hinges from the HCD1-7285 Window Hinges Dies from Luxe Gold Card stock. Cut the little tabs off the sides of the colored window and glue the gold hinges to the top 2 hinges on both sides. (The bottom hinges will not show). Now use the middle die from the HCD1-7452 Ornate Window Die set and cut one from sheet 5A and one from Clear Card stock. Attach the clear card stock onto the back of the window and add two layers of Adhesive Foam Strips. Using an anti-static tool, dust the inside of the window. Now add some sequins and  un peel the back of the adhesive and attach the matching piece of sheet 5A that was cut. Now secure the window to the card front. Now add the gold embossed top section to the window with foam dots to finish the window.

To complete the card arrange the peacock so that it is sitting gracefully upon the windowsill. Use foam dots in between sections of the wings add depth. Lastly glue a few lovely flowers to add even more elegance. Finish the inside of the card as desired.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.

Heartfelt Creations - Vibrant Violet Clematis

 Hi Friends,

Today I have a pretty slimline card to share with you created with the Climbing Clematis flower by Heartfelt Creations. I have paired it up with numerous other items to produce this card which would be suitable for a birthday or any other SPECIAL occasion. Now lets take a look at all the details and how I actually put this together...

Directions:

Cut a piece of white card stock to 9 1/4” x 8 1/4”

and score in half at 4 1/8”. With HCD3-7448 Slim Ornate Rectangle Die use the largest die and cut through both layers of the folded card base making sure to let the long edge of the die fall over the edge of the card to preserve the fold. This will create the shaped card base. Next using the same die, cut two pieces from the HCDP1-2128 Climbing Clematis Paper Pad, sheet 10B. Ink the edges using the HCDA2-450 Stack and Store Daubers with Majestic Violet Archival Ink, then attach these two papers to the card front and inside of the card. (The inside piece will need a slight trimming across the top to fit) Using the second largest die from the Slim Ornate Rectangle Die Set, cut 2x, once from white card stock and once from Luxe Silver Card stock. Discard the center piece from the Luxe Silver Card stock as we will not be using that piece. Save the white inside piece for stamping on in the next step. Now layer the white and silver frames with silver on top slightly off setting them so that the white shows a little. Glue this to the card front.

Now take the white inside piece from the above die cut piece and stamp HCPC-3969 Vining Clematis Banner Cling Stamp Set 2x horizontally across the paper with Leaf Green Archival Ink. Color with the Stamp and Store Daubers with Leaf Green, Olive, and Majestic Violet ink. Glue to the center of the frame on the card front. Stamp the HCPC-3954 Clematis Cling Stamp with Majestic Violet Ink, the small size 3x and medium size 1x. onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Color lightly with Majestic Violet ink and then die cut with the coordinating dies. After die cutting Darken the edges with the dauber and the Majestic Violet ink.  Shape using the coordinating 3D Shaping mold then use the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to press the centers of each flower. Now layer as desired and add Lettuce Entertain You Prills and Crystal Clear Glitter to finish the flowers. Next stamp the HCPC-3912 Cascading Wisteria Cling Stamp Set 3x in leaf green onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and color with Leaf and Olive Archival Inks. Die cut using coordinating dies. Shape with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.

Die cut the sentiment dies from the Slim Ornate Rectangle Die Set 3x from white card stock and 1x from sheet 10B used earlier. Adhere these on top of each other with the purple paper on top and then ink the edges with Majestic Violet ink. Center the sentiment dies onto the card base and glue down. Now arrange the vines and flowers around the frame and attach with a glue gun to complete the card.

I just love the way these Wisteria Vine paired up with the Clematis makes them look like they are truly climbing all over the card.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed creating it for each of you! Check out my personal project in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery to find out what products I used for this project.
