 Hi Friends,

Tonight I am sharing a bright and cheerful card using the Winking Wanda digital stamp by TLC Designs. I have teamed her up with numerous digital papers along with some dies from the TLC Designs Shop.

Meet Wanda! She is quite eccentric especially in the color palette I chose. Before coloring her I decided on the paper. All the papers used are from digital papers in the TLC Designs Shop. I will list and link all the supplies below.

Crafter's Companion ~ Tropical Fun!

 Hi Folks!

Today I have two really bright and fun designs. I have combined elements from the Sara Signature Tropical Collection with some Silhouette Dies also by Crafter's Companion. Do you have your sunglasses on??? Lets take a look... 

Here is card one.... I have used the Gemini Silhouette Cockatoo die along with some ink & ink daubers to create this fun focal. The papers, embossing folder, and sentiment are all part of the Tropical Collection.

This second card is created using the Gemini Silhouette Flamingo also colored with ink daubers. These two silhouette dies are not part of the Tropical Collection but boy do they coordinate well. Never hesitate to combine product lines. There are many times where items go together perfectly.

 Hello everyone,

I hope your day is cheerful. Today was so warm to be February and this card screams SPRING!!!! I am ready how about you?

So I just have to say I LOVE this lattice frame die in this Woodland Frame set. The set is not available on the Crafter's Companion website,  BUT I did find it available over on HSN so I linked the set over there. You actually get BOTH the Woodland Frame Set AND the Natural Blossom Die Set together. I used the Natural Blossom set to create the little floral embellishments I added. To create the flowers I used a foam mat and the ball tools and it added a nice extra added bit of texture. 

I added a little stamen die that is part of the same die sets. Then I finished them out with a tiny little clear gem in the center of each. I love how dainty it turned out. 

 

The beautiful paper behind the frame is from the Fairy Garden Paper Pad which is part of the Sara Signature Fairy Garden Collection. For the die I popped it up with some foam pads which finished the card out nicely.

Today I am sharing a simple yet elegant card. The paper collection is so striking in this NitWit collection of papers.

I have simply used a beautiful edge'able die along with the Decoupage from the same NitWit collection. Before building the decoupage I lightly inked the edges with a burgundy ink.

Spectrum Noir Backgrounds 3 of 3

 Welcome back to day 3 of my inkiness!

That is right I got all inky in the making of these 3 samples. I will show them all together at the end of this email in case you missed the first two.

Wow this is bright huh? The background was made in a similar way as the other two. The only difference is that I used a stencil to emboss to give the background its texture.

TLC Designs ~ One Eyed Harry!!!

Do I have a card for you..... This would be the perfect card for a child's birthday!Let me introduce you to One Eyed Harry...

 

This little monster was so much fun to color. I used my Soectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color this digital stamp. As soon as I saw him I knew I wanted to make a birthday card. I may even save this one for my Grandson's 2nd birthday!!!

 It is hard to tell but I did a lot of paper piecing here. Each of the cupcakes have a light turquoise base, pink icing, and even a yellow flame. I also paper pieced the cake!!! So much fun and so many design possibilities!

Spectrum Noir Backgrounds 2 of 3

 Welcome back to day 3 of my inkiness!

I cannot tell you how much fun I had with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle inks. Here is my second competed card with them

This one has been made using watercolor paper. I think I forgot to mention that yesterday... oops!

I played around with the liquid sparkle inks and left them over night to dry. Then my husband challenged me to make 3 cards while he was at work and I walked into my craft room and saw these backgrounds and knew that I could accomplish that task by using the backgrounds and boy did it go well. 

Once the ink is dry I put this one through an embossing folder and then using stencils and water reactive inks. Finally I took a ink blending tool with a dark color from the design and went all around the edges. This gave each piece a finished look.

Spectrum Noir Backgrounds 1 of 3

Hi Friends, 

I have a little something different for you guys today. A few nights ago I decided to get out some Spectrum Noir products to see if I could make a few backgrounds. I have seen them done a lot online but have never really spent time with my stash. So here is the first of 3 projects which came to be from my evening of inky fun!

This first one was designed with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks along with Water Reactive Harmony Ink Pads both by Spectrum Noir. 

The butterfly is the Gemini Flutterby Wishes Double Sided Die Set. It is made from only 2 dies but has 4 itricut layers. I wanted inpack and coordinating so I decided to do the two bottom layers in a mmidtone blue and the two top lauers with the hot pink. I did the same colors for the sentiment which came from the Sara Signature Flutterby Collection and is called Simplistic Sentiments.

Here is a close up shot of my colored butterfly. I love coloring with alcohol markers. 

I have used the Sharon Callis Crafts quilling peony flower. This is the first time I have used these so they are not perfect but to grow you must try. :-) One thing I did to create mine was to shape the little petals with a ball tool before quilling. I also inked the edges with Spectrum Noir Harmony Water Reactive Dye in Pink Tulip. 

One last look. For the center step I used the Stitched Fancy Square dies. I also raised this section with foam pads. I hope this card has encouraged you today. Welcome back! Thank you for stopping by today. I have a very ornate collaboration of products that I have used on today's card. I have been wanting to make a vintage style card which automatically made me think of the Crafter's Companion Sara Signature Vintage Lace Collection" Lets take a look...

So I began with a very ornate frame set called Rococo Frames and I coordinated it with the Boroque Frames Both from the Sara Signature Vintage Lace Collection. Links will be listed below. 

Here is a different perspective showing in more detail what the dies look like. The rich colors from the brand new NitWit paper pads along with the inked edges of the dies really all worked quite well to create a very dramatic card design.

Here is a close up of the Classic Rose Decoupage dies and Topper Pad. For the foliage I used the Vintage Vines die set from the Vintage Lace Collection. 

To finish this card I added a Birthday sentiment from the same Vintage Lace Collection. This is one of my favorite collections by Crafter's Companion and teaming it up with the Decoupage and the NitWit papers really helped it all come together nicely.  Thank you for taking a closer look. The embellishments in the top left corner along with the sentiment both come from the die cut pages that come in the Caring Thoughts 12x12" paper pad. These are truly a joy to work with; they are such beautiful papers. For the butterfly, after coloring it, I fussy cut it out using my Crafter's Companion Precision Snips. Crafter's Companion ~ Statement Butterfly colored with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks

 Welcome back followers,

Today I have a fun project to share with all of you. Using the Spectrum Noir Glitter Ink, I colored the butterfly layers. Lets take a look...

I had a lot of fun with this Statement Butterfly die set from the Sara Signature Beautiful Butterflies Collection. This die set actually is 3 layered but I am only using two layers here because of how well they matched the Nature's Garden Fairy Garden Collection.

In this close up photo you can see a portion of the Spectrum Noir Glitter Ink. The bottom layer of the butterfly is a combination of Cosmo and Amethyst Glitter Inks. I simply used a paint brush dipped in the ink pots and painted it directly onto water color card before die cutting it. NOTE: Make sure you allow the papers to dry before putting them through your electric die cutters. 

For the top layer I used the three Glitter Inks from the Spectrum Noir Perfect Pastels Glitter Inks (Moonstone, Cosmos, and Rose Quartz) to create a lighter multi colored butterfly layer. For the top layer I dripped a few drops of each color onto my glass mat and then simply turned the water color paper upside down ad placed it into the inks on my glass mat. The results are very pretty in these pastels.

Crafter's Companion ~ Sara Signature Nautical Collection

 Hello Friends.

My vision for this next card was creating an underwater scene with Annabel Spenceley's Oceans of Love photo-polymer stamp as a focal inside the port hole from the Sara Signature Nautical Collection by Crafter's Companion.

 

Moment by moment this card evolved from a basic idea to a full blown Circle Flip Card using the Die'sire Circle Centre Create A Card die set by Crafter's Companion. I have taken a few photos for a small tutorial for how I designed this card. First thing is to follow the card directions on the packaging to die cut the center section of the card. Refer to the instructions example 1. After doing that I created the rest because I was wanting the center circle to be my port hole.

To create the Luxury Glitter Card layer I used the two side panels and traced them on the back of the glitter paper. I used the small Crafter's Campanion Guillotine to trim all the straight edges.

Then I used sissors to cut the half circles.

Then turn the papers over and lay on top of your card base created in the package instructions. At this stage I trimmed the outer left and right edges so that the mat was even all the way around.

I needed a dark color for the back of my port hole so I used the center die to cut a piece of dark brown paper and then I simply cut it out where it attached. (I have the cut lines drawn with pencil so you can see it.

That gave me the perfect brown layer for the port hole. 

Lastly I cut the Silver and White papers at the same time using the port hole die. Here is how the final card looks laying flat.

This is of course the inside of the card where you can write your message. Once I got all the papers prepared I used Tacky Glue on most of the items to decorate the scene. The Sara Signature Nautical is SOLD out on their website but if you do an online search you can find these items on Scrapbook.com and ebay just to name a couple places. Hope this helps!

I used Guilding Was in Gold around the edges of the sea horse. The sea horse, lightbhouse, and the wheel are all double layered for a little extra dimension

It is hard to tell but the card does flip open to reveal that space on the inside to write.

This project was a joy to create. It is one of those designs that begins one way and develops into itself as your designing. I am passionate about my projects and I hope they inspire each and everyone of you.

Crafter's Companion ~ Quintessentially English

 Welcome back friends,

Today's card was inspired by the Crafter's Companion 12 x 12" paper pad named "Quintessentially English" Looking through my stash I decided to use the Modern Scallops Edge'ables die set as the focal of this design. 

The size of the die is 6" long so I cut my card to 6"x12" and I cut the die on each side before scoring and folding the card. I then layered a coordinating designer paper from the Crafter's Companion 12x12" Quintessential English" paper. I then decided to use one of the beautiful Sharon Callis Vintage Lace Frames which fit perfectly in the center. But I wanted to tie in the leaves so I added an extra layer from the same paper pack cut with the Stitch Edge Oval dies. That is exactly what the card needed. For the flowers I have used the Peony Double Sided Dies. For the sentiment I used one from the newly released Sara Signature Caring Thoughts Stamp sets named "With a Grateful Heart"

This last photo shows how I used the Heavy Weight Acetate. I attached it to the back of the scalloped dies to give the card more strength so it is able to stand up easily. It is hard to photograph but I think this will give you a better idea on how I used the 6x6" piece of acetate. I attached it at top and bottom with glue dots.

 Hi Friends.

Welcome back! Today I have a special card to share. I have created this card using The Sara Signature Caring Thoughts Collection by Crafter's Companion. This is a beautiful collection and right now with the pandemic and all the pain in the world we can surely use more uplifting products to create with.

 

This beautiful collection is available online at Crafter's Companions USA Store as well as over on HSN. These collection configurations are slightly different so please compare collections.

Here is today's card using this amazing collection. 

This card features the beautiful Decoupage elements from the collection along with the Honey Silk Lace Nesting Decorative Frame Die Set. This specific die set is not currently available over on the CC USA online store but I did fine this beautiful Sharon Callis Vintage Lace Frames collection of dies. 

Here is a close up view of the focal decoupage floral arrangement. The butterfly and sentiment came from the Caring Thoughts 12x12" paper pack 

I also utilized the 12x12" plate size of the brand new Gemini Pro machine and was able to cut all 4 layers at one time. The Gemini Pro is a game changer that is for sure and is still available over on HSN! 

 

Lastly for the papers used I used a 5X7" Card base from the Sharing Thoughts Collection. I also used specialty papers from the Luxury Mixed Card Pack.
