Heartfelt Creations ~ Heavenly Hyacinth

Hi Friends,

Welcome back to Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations. This week I am showcasing the stunning Fragrant Hyacinth flowers. These beauties were a joy to design with and allowed me to really play with a mix of colors. I just loved adding the Prills to the centers and of course the buzzing bee's to drink up that yummy nectar. Let's take a look.....

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 12 x 6” and score at 6” to form a card base. From the HCDP1-2127 Floral Butterfly Paper Pad choose a blue, purple, and green piece of patterned paper. From the HCD1-7283 Courtyard Elegance Die use the largest die and cut the blue piece 1, and glue to the card front. Cut the purple piece using the second largest die 1, and using that same die along with the decorative square die that fits just inside it cut 1 from white cardstock, making sure to tape all edges of the two dies to secure them together before running through a die cut machine. Now using the white die cut as a guide, draw pencil lines onto the green paper so that the inner green pieces can be cut with scissors and glue to the back of the white die cut with Dries Clear Glue. Next glue this white die cut onto the purple square and finally onto your blue card front. From the blue paper cut a scalloped circle from the HCD1-7154 Eyelet Circle Basics Small Die set and attach to the center of the card front using dimensional adhesive. Lastly stamp your sentiment from the HCPC-3844 For My Friend Cling Stamp Set onto a scrap of the green paper with Majestic Violet and set aside.

Stamp the small flowers 4x in Cactus Flower and 3x in Vibrant Fuchsia from HCPC-3947 Fragrant Hyacinth Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock. Also from the same stamp set stamp 1 small and 1 large of the full Hyacinth stamp in both Emerald Green along with 1 small in Vibrant Fuchsia and 1 large in Cactus Flower. Stamp the floral branch from HCPC-3952 Floral Butterfly Accents Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Jet Black ink and color in with Zig markers. Stamp 3x bees from the HCPC-3965 Summer Wreath Accents Cling Stamp Set onto Copic paper and color with copic markers. Die cut all stamped items with their coordinating dies.

Using the Stack and Store Daubers color the tips of the purple flowers with Majestic Violet and Night Sky. Lightly color the entire pink flowers with Pink Peony and then just the tips with Vibrant Fuchsia. For the green stamped floral images color just the leaves with Vivid Chartreuse in the center and Emerald Green around the edges and set aside. For the purple large flower fussy cut off just the floral segment from the top and discard the leaves. Do the same with the smaller pink one. Ink around the edges of each of these with the darker color (ie Majestic violet and Vibrant Fuchsia) and glue on top of the floral section of the green stamped images with Dries Clear Glue set aside. This gives a pink/purple colored top where the flowers will be added and green leaves at the bottom.

Shape each of the hyacinth petals using the Grooved Golf Tools and the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Using Dries Clear Glue add Prills to the center of each flower and allow to dry. Arrange flowers onto the floral base created in the previous step and adhere with hot glue. Dab some Dries Clear Glue onto a sponge and apply to flowers and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear and tap off. Apply Dries Clear glue directly to the bee’s wings and dip into the same glitter. Lastly apply Dries Clear glue directly to the leaves and the floral branches and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Allow everything to dry before assembling as pictured. Dimensional adhesive was used behind the pink hyacinth as well as some of the leaves to give depth and dimension.

For the sentiment use set HCD1-7201 Ticket and Tags Die to create a small banner and trim down the sentiment stamped earlier onto the green patterned paper. Attach banner to the project using a double layer of dimensional adhesive so it will stand a little higher than your leaves. Decorate the inside of your card if desired.

Heartfelt Creations ~ Mushroom Palace

 Hi There,

Welcome back to inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations. Today I have a fun card created using the new Mushroom Cottage Collection along with the Palace Gateway Die. Lets take a look at which this sweet fairy is up to today...

Awe look how precious this sweet barefoot fairy looks as she sits amongst the vines staring up at the lightning bug flying just above her. I remember as a child chasing and catching lightning bugs at dusk. They were such interesting creatures.

For the fairies coloring I used Copic Markers. I also added some white gel pen to her cheeks. If you look closely just inside the gate is a mushroom cottage also colored with Copic Markers.

Wrapped around the entire scene is vines and amongst the vines are pink blooms created with the newly released Wild Poppy collection. Don't they make precious little flowers?

Check out the full step by step instructions of this card along with the supply list HERE at the direct link to the Heartfelt Creations Gallery Page. As always if you enjoy my work I would love for you to follow me on social media @melaniesmithstamps on instagram and YouTube or on Facebook in my Fairy Stamp Land Group.

Happy Crafting Friends!

Heartfelt Creations New Release ~ Lighting The Way

Hi Friends,

Welcome back to another inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations. This week we are excited to announce the NEW RELEASE of the Mushroom Cottage Collection. This is where all your fairy fantasies can come true. For my release card I have created a fun card titled "Lighting the Way" Lets take a look...

Oh My Goodness this collection is AMAZING!!! If you like creating whimsical scenes with little cottages and vines this collection is for you. There are amazing accents that just make scene building a little girls dream come true. Come in and settle in as I welcome you to my Fairy Stamp Land....

Added to this collection I decided to use these beautiful Lush Lilac blooms to add a touch of floral whimsy to the lovely vines in this collection. They are the perfect size and I just love intertwining these vines up the side of my scene here.

As we get to the tops of the vines the glittery fairy is softly colored and of course covered in glitter as she is looking for lightning bugs in the twilight sky.

But watch out little lightning bugs as little frog is here to snatch you if you're not careful. He is hiding amongst the mushrooms.

So you see not only can you create a scene but you can create and entire story with your cards as you design your own fairy stamp land with the new Mushroom Cottage Collection. Heartfelt Creations ~ Missing You Poppies

 Hi Friends,

Today I begin my adventure as an official Design Team Member for Heartfelt Creations with my very first blog post representing their amazing company. This international company is one I am very proud to be a part of and I am looking forward lots of flower making and designing with them in the future!

My first card is featuring the beautiful Wild Poppy Collection. Lets take a look...

I had such fun designing this card and HERE is a direct link for the full instructions and linked supply list over on the Heartfelt Creations Blog, but in the meantime lets take a look at a few more photos.

For my design I opted to hand shape the flowers using the wonderful Deluxe Flower Shaping kit from Heartfelt Creations rather than using the shaping mold this time around. I wanted to try what I call "The Crinkle Technique" It is where you wet the paper and pleat the paper petals and Crinkle them up and let them dry. It is quite fun and gives a nice full look to your flowers.

For the flowers behind the gate I used the new EZ Stems which released last month with the Wild Poppy Collection. They allow you to really give a nice 3D look to your flowers. For the vines I choose to mix in leaves from the Cascading Wisteria Stamp and Die set. These do not come with a mold but they are easily shaped with your stylus tool in your shaping kit.

I know it has been a long while since I have posted on my blog and I have missed you which is why I used these sentiments in this card. I knew that if I was chosen for the team I would be very busy learning the ropes and working behind the scenes gearing up for these beginning days on the team. It has been a fun and exciting time and I want to thank ALL OF YOU, my supporters and friends, for following my journey. So much is yet to come, so make sure to follow me @melaniesmithstamps on YouTube and Instagram and of course in my facebook group Fairy Stamp Land on Facebook as well. I look forward to sharing my work with you even more moving forward!!!!
